NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) 2018 [NEET(UG)-2018] will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament e.g. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

NEET Application Form 2018

The detailed application procedure is mentioned below:

  • Students can avail the NEET 2018 Application Form via online mode only.
  • Visit cbseneet.nic.in for the form.
  • Fill all the necessary details like personal, contact, domicile, qualification, etc.
  • Upload the scanned images of photograph, signature and index finger impression in the prescribed format.
  • Make the fee payment using online and offline mode.
  • After the fee payment, take the printout of the confirmation page of the application form and keep it safe for further use.


Application Fee:

  • Candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs. 1400/- (for UR & OBC) and Rs. 750/- (for SC/ST & PH).
  • The fee payment can be made via online mode (debit or credit card).
  • Payment can also be done through the e-challan of Syndicate, SBI, ICICI Bank or HDFC bank.

Eligibility Criteria

Students should check the eligibility criteria before applying for NEET exam. The eligibility criteria for appearing NEET exam is given below:

Nationality:

Candidates must be an Indian citizen. OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) candidates are also eligible to apply.

J&K/AP/Telangana: Such candidates are eligible for All India 15% quota only (also eligible for admission in AFMC, Pune) on the basis of self-declaration. Aadhaar Card Requirement: Indian National candidates must have an Aadhaar Number to apply for NEET exam.

Age Limit:

Minimum Age: The minimum age limit is 17 years as on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
Maximum Age: The maximum age limit is 25 years (for General and OBC candidates) and 30 years (for other categories).

Qualification:

Examination: Candidates should have qualified 12th or equivalent exam.
Subjects: Subjects Should be Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Biotechnology with English as a compulsory subject.
10+2 appearing students are also eligible to apply.
Marks Required: In the qualifying exam (PCB group), students should have obtained at least 50% marks for general, 45% marks for general-PH and 40% marks for SC/ST & OBC.

AIIMS 2019: Important Dates

AIIMS MBBS 2019: Minimum marks to qualify

Candidates belonging to unreserved category must score at least 50 per cent, those belonging to OBC (non-creamy layer) must score at least 45 per cent and those belonging to SC/ST must score at least 40 per cent in order to be considered eligible for further counselling process of AIIMS MBBS.

AIIMS MBBS 2019: Exam pattern

  • Mode: AIIMS entrance exam will be held in online mode (computer-based test).
  • Shifts: The examination will be organized in two shifts, i.e. 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM (Morning) & 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM (Afternoon).
  • Duration: The duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
  • Language: The question paper will be provided either in English or in Hindi.
  • Number of Questions: Total 200 multiple choice (objective & reason-assertion) type questions will be asked in the exam.
  • Subjects: The questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge/Aptitude.
  • Marking Scheme: Each correct response will get a score of one mark.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) 2019

Every year, thousands of medical aspirants sit for the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) entrance examinations to get admission into JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal. There are 150 MBBS seats at JIPMER Puducherry and 50 at JIPMER, Karaikal. The duration of the course will be 4 years and 6 months, followed by 1 year of compulsory rotatory internship for the award of degree.
